7 Rays Hotel Udaipur
A hotel opened in 2023 on 100 Feet Road, with a pool and restaurant on the roof and four room categories, one of them with a jacuzzi. The catch is the address: you are in the Sub City Center area, not the Old City, so every sightseeing day starts with a drive.

7 Rays Hotel Highlights
Six things to know before you book.
The rooftop is the reason to pick it
Pool and restaurant share the top floor, with the Aravalli hills and the city spread out in front. The view is of the city and hills, not a lake.
One room type has a jacuzzi
The Premier room comes with a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. For a couple on a short break, that is the room to ask about.
Easy if you are driving
The building sits on a wide road with an open front, and parking is free. No narrow lanes and no walking your bags in from a distant spot.
You will need a cab for sightseeing
City Palace, Jagdish Temple and the ghats are a drive away. Budget for autos or a cab each day.
Food gets mostly good words
Several guests praise the meals, and one Trip.com reviewer mentions that the kitchen arranged Jain food for their whole stay. One Google review calls the food poor, so it is not unanimous.
Listings disagree on balconies
Three of the four room names say “with Balcony”, and the photos show glass doors opening out. Orbitz says no rooms have balconies. Ask the hotel which room you are getting.
7 Rays Hotel Gallery
Rooms, the rooftop and the common areas. The Standard room photo shows no outside view, so do not expect one in that category.
7 Rays Hotel Rooms & Stay Options
Four categories. The main differences are the window, the balcony and, at the top, the jacuzzi.
StandardStandard Room
Double bed, work desk, TV and a kettle. In the photo the window is covered by a blind, so treat this as a room without a view. One Booking.com-based listing shows a room of about 13 sq m (roughly 140 sq ft), which is likely this category. Confirm the size if space matters.
DeluxeDeluxe City View with Balcony
A full-height glass door looks out over the city. The bed faces the window, and there is a small seating corner. Ask how big the balcony is before you pay extra for it.
SuperiorSuperior City View with Balcony
Looks similar in layout to the Deluxe, with a glass door to the outside and a little more floor space in the photo. The view in the picture is of nearby buildings, so the “city view” can depend on the floor.
PremierPremier Jacuzzi Room with Balcony
The top category, with a larger bed area and a marble bathroom that has a jacuzzi tub. Expedia lists a “Premier Double Room, City View”, which appears to be the same room under a different name.
Room names, sizes and bed types differ between platforms. Check the exact listing and occupancy before you pay.
A rooftop-pool hotel in Sub City Center
7 Rays Hotel stands on 100 Feet Road near Parshuram Chouraha, in the part of Udaipur locals call Sub City Center. The area is residential and commercial, with offices, shops and newer buildings. It is calm compared with the Old City, but you will not find lake views or heritage lanes outside the door.
The building is recent, opened in 2023 according to ixigo, with 26 rooms over five floors, a glass-fronted lobby and modern rooms in wood and beige tones. Bathrooms in the photos have walk-in showers with glass partitions and wall-hung toilets, which feels more modern than most 3-star rooms in this part of the city.
The top floor is where the hotel sets itself apart. A pool runs along one side of the terrace and the restaurant tables sit next to it, facing the hills. If you only use one facility here, make it this one.
Guest feedback is mostly positive. Families mention clean rooms, a good breakfast spread and children enjoying the pool. Some of the newest Google reviews read alike and name the same staff members, so we gave more weight to longer, detailed reviews on Google and Trip.com. Among those, the one clear negative describes an unclean room and poor food.
Location & Nearby
The hotel is on 100 Feet Road in the Central Area, south-east of the Old City. Lake Pichola is about 4 km away and City Palace around 6 km, so plan on a drive for both.

Prices move a lot in Udaipur between the quiet months and the wedding and holiday season.
Before paying, compare the final price with taxes, whether breakfast is included, the room category and the cancellation terms. Ask specifically whether your room has a balcony.

Is 7 Rays Hotel Worth Staying At?
Our call after looking at the rooms, the location and what guests say.
When It Makes Sense
- You are travelling with children and want a pool.
- You have a car or will use cabs anyway.
- You want a modern room, or a jacuzzi room for a couple’s trip.
When We Would Look Elsewhere
- You want to walk to City Palace and the ghats.
- A lake view is the main point of your trip.
- You are booking the Standard room and want natural light.
7 Rays Hotel earns 7.9 for its pool on the roof, modern rooms and a mostly positive start with guests. It loses points for being a drive from the Old City and for a review record that is still young. For families and drivers, it is an easy recommendation in Sub City Center.
