About Inside Udaipur Local, Checked, Honest
Inside Udaipur is a local guide to the city: hotels we have checked ourselves, events happening this week, places to visit and practical travel advice from people who live here.
A Udaipur Guide Run From Udaipur
Inside Udaipur is run by Rajkumar Singh and a small local team based in Udaipur.
We started the site because most hotel and travel information about Udaipur is written from far away. Listings show the best photo, call every room a lake view and leave out what you only learn after you arrive. We wanted a guide that tells visitors what a place is really like.
Today we cover hotels across the city, events and parties happening each week, the main sights, and a full Udaipur travel guide. Everything is written for people planning a real trip, not for search engines.
Our Connection With Udaipur Ride
We want you to know who is behind the recommendations you read.
Inside Udaipur and Udaipur Ride, a local taxi, scooty and vehicle rental service, are run by the same team and share the same office. When one of our guides mentions an airport taxi, a sightseeing cab or a scooty on rent, the link usually goes to Udaipur Ride.
That link never changes how we review a hotel or describe a place. Our hotel scores and opinions are our own, and you are always free to book transport with anyone you like.
How We Review Hotels
Every hotel review on Inside Udaipur is built from four sources, so no single listing or photo decides the verdict.
We Visit
Our team goes to the hotel to see the rooms, common areas and surroundings in person.
Real Photos and Details
We collect real room photos and details from the hotel, and check room types against them instead of copying booking platform text.
Guest Reviews
We read what guests say on Google, MakeMyTrip, TripAdvisor and other platforms, looking for patterns rather than single comments.
Location Check
We check the location ourselves: how far the sights really are, whether a car can reach the door, and what the street is like.
What Our Scores Mean
InsideUdaipur Score
Our editorial score out of 10 looks at how well a hotel works for an actual traveller: location, value, rooms and comfort, cleanliness, service, facilities and the overall stay experience.
Trust Score
The Trust Score shows how confident we are in the information behind a recommendation: review volume, consistency of feedback, how fresh the information is, and whether we could verify the important details. A higher Trust Score does not mean a hotel is better. It means the recommendation rests on stronger evidence.
About Prices
Room rates in Udaipur change with dates, season and room type. The prices on our pages are what we observed when we checked, not fixed tariffs. Always confirm the final rate with the hotel or booking platform before you pay.
The Rules We Write By
- Reviews are honest, not promotional. We list the problems as well as the good points.
- We use real photos of the actual property wherever we can.
- We do not make up numbers. Distances, prices and ratings come from checked sources.
- If a booking site shows room categories that do not match what the hotel really offers, we say so.
- When we are not sure about a detail, such as room capacity, we tell you to confirm it rather than state it as fact.
